Soils in Crisis Commitment Meeting

Friday 16th December 2016

The Soils in Crisis Commitment Meeting was an event staged in order to gauge the level of interest, and potential engagement, in the proposed approach to dealing with the Soils in Crisis topic on a cross discipline concerted front.

The number of leading organisations and individuals who attended or expressed an intention to engage, confirmed that the concept had indeed tapped into a rich vein of interest and was an approach, in a field already rich in initiatives and research, that had up to this point been missing.

The high level of informed debate and contribution during the day, the initial funding secured and firm commitments made by participants following the event have provided the impetus to continue to build momentum towards the next milestone which is a House of Commons reception.
